Doug Gottlieb: “The NBA Draft Right Now Is a Complete and Utter Dud”

The NBA Draft starts tonight and even though most fans aren’t aware, the NBA has decided to stretch out the former single-day event over two days. In fact, outside of Cooper Flagg, most fans would be hard pressed to name the top ten players that will be drafted tonight and the anticipation for the event has waned considerably since the best college players are only staying in school one year, just long enough to qualify for the draft.

Doug Gottlieb: “The NBA needs college basketball to have players in school longer…when you play in college, it’s promoting what they’re going to be in the NBA, and the longer you play in college, the more known that you are. So, I bring this to the point of; I think that’s the biggest reason that the NBA Draft right now is a complete and utter dud.”
