Jonas Knox: "So this is the former NFLPA Executive Director and one of your star players (Aaron Rodgers), and then you've got (Former NFLPA President) JC Tretter, who reportedly threw Russell Wilson under the bus in discussing Wilson's contract negotiations, and they wonder why they lose every negotiation to the owners. Because the NFLPA can't even get it together amongst themselves. You've got the Executive Director getting a call from one of the stars of the league saying 'can I walk into traffic instead?' JC Tretter, part of the NFLPA, calls Russell Wilson the 'rhymes with wussy' reportedly, when the discussions of the negotiations about Russell Wilson's attempt to get a guaranteed contract from Denver came up. This is why you lose every time to the Owners. They're not on the same page. Nobody is on the same page."
LaVar Arrington: "I had one exchange with DeMaurice Smith. I thought he was a fine dude to talk to. Good-hearted guy. Super smart, super intelligent. But I thought he was in over his head. If I were to read his book, I would feel like he was sugar-coating everything. If you were to really get into the deep down guts of what this stuff has really been, and what truly has been exchanged conversation-wise, you would end up like Gruden!"
Jonas Knox and LaVar Arrington react to excerpts from an upcoming book by Former NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith. The guys break down Smith's various efforts to throw shade at multiple NFL stars and explain how these statements are proof of why the NFLPA struggles to win any of their biggest battles with the Owners during Roger Goodell's regime.
