South Florida Congresswoman Indicted In FEMA Scam

Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick calls her indictment in a reported five-million-dollar FEMA scam a baseless, unjust sham. Political scientist Dr. Susan McManus says regardless of how this shakes out she faces a huge P-R problem. Cherfilus-McCormick faces up to fifty-three years in prison if convicted of stealing the cash to fund her congressional campaign. Sarasota Representative Greg Steube is calling for her censure and expulsion. Her term expires in January of 2027.
