The first commercial mission to the moon is underway.
The uncrewed "Peregrine" lunar lander blasted off at 2:18 Eastern time this morning atop the United Launch Alliance's new Vulcan Centar rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The lander will go into orbit around the moon in advance of a landing attempt on February 23rd.
