SPRING HILL -- A Spring Hill woman is accused of creating child pornography and trying to blame someone else.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says 42-year-old Ronda Hawkins called detectives to claim that she know someone distributing sexual images involving children on social media, who sent her child porn and arranged for her to create a pornographic video with a minor.
They interviewed the person she named, but found the social media profile had been created by Hawkins herself.
Hawkins now faces several charges, including filing a false police report, identity theft, transmission and possession of child sex abuse material, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. She's in the Hernando County Jail without bond.
