Southwest Florida fire station flooded as Hurricane Ian makes landfall

Naples, FL - Southwest Florida firefighters were captured on video wading through waist deep water inside a flooded fire station in downtown Naples.

Cameras captured the first responders removing equipment from trucks as they pushed the vehicles out of the firehouse in the event the trucks caught fire.

Downtown Naples was hit by high winds and flooding as Hurricane Ian made landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast on Wednesday.

The city of Naples issued an citywide curfew until further notice as the hurricane made its way into Central Florida.

Hurricane Ian approached Florida as a Category 4 and reached land at Cayo Costa at 3:05 p.m. ET.
