A Day Of Remembrance For Miya Marcano

Today marks a Day of Remembrance for the Pembroke Pines teen killed at her Orlando apartment complex last year. Police believe Armando Caballero-the maintenance worker-named as a person of interest in the case who was found dead from an apparent suicide-got into Miya's apartment with a master key despite his criminal background. Her death led to the creation of "Miya's Law" requiring background checks on all employees who enter apartments. Miya's mom Suling says she's glad something positive came out of this tragedy. Those gathering at the Arden Villas Apartment Complex tonight will light a candle and share their memories of Miya.
