Former NFL DE and current NFL analyst, JJ Watt joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. He talks about the steep learning curve in the booth and gets some sage advice from Dan as he begins his post-playing career. He says he had to learn how to hit quarterbacks legally but believes it can still be done effectively within the rules. And he says he and his brother, Steelers DE TJ Watt, speak every single day and he’s ready to go against the Ravens.
Dan Patrick: “When’s the last time you gave advice to your brother?”
JJ Watt: “Yesterday.”
Dan: “About?”
JJ: “We were talking about his ankle, and we were talking about just the recovery and all (that). We talk every single day so, we talk about the game, we talk about life, we talk about injuries, everything.”
Dan: “He’s playing?”
JJ: “Yes.”
