The Minnesota Timberwolves took a 3-1 lead in their first round series vs. the Los Angeles Lakers after a victory in game 4 yesterday in which Lakers HC JJ Redick didn’t make any substitutions in the second half. It was obvious that fatigue affected their efforts in the 4th quarter, especially LeBron James, and Redick deserves the criticism coming his way.
Dan Patrick: “JJ Redick didn’t make a substitution in the second half and LeBron (James) looked spent…LeBron takes a deep three, LeBron with the lazy inbounds pass, LeBron gets called for the foul against Anthony Edwards; that’s where fatigue comes in, where you do things and you don’t go all the way through. You miss the three, the inbounds pass was terrible, and you cost yourself. To keep up with these young teams in the West, you do need a little bit of depth. And (the) Lakers did not rely on any of that depth in the second half.”
