Broward Plans To Fund "Visit Lauderdale" Rose Bowl Parade Float

You may soon see a "Visit Lauderdale" float at the Tournament of the Roses parade New Year's Day in Pasadena. Broward Commissioner Steve Geller says commissioners are meeting today to authorize spending 700 thousand in tourist development funds to fund a Rose Parade float with signage and live music. The parade brings in a huge audience, 800-thousand people are expected to watch it live, millions of others will watch it on TV. Geller says this should help hotels and restaurants still struggling post pandemic.
