Woman threatens to kill ex-boyfriend after stabbing him, crashing his car

Miami, FL - A South Florida woman appeared in court on Tuesday on charges she threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend and stabbed him with a piece of broken glass.

24-year-old Dayani Prieto-Fernandez appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Tuesday to face charges of domestic violence and threats to her ex-boyfriend.

According to an arrest report, Prieto-Fernandez wrote a threatening text message to the victim on January 13th and allegedly stabbed him with broken glass on October 30th.

Prieto-Fernandez turned herself in on Monday at the North Miami Police Department station.

She's facing charges of aggravated battery, first-degree misdemeanor battery, and written threats to kill.

A judge ordered her to stay away from the victim.

Prieto-Fernandez has a criminal record in Miami-Dade that includes weapons charges and grand theft.

She also has a pending paternity case in family court that was filed in December 2021.
