Lightning Rout Utah For Second Straight Win

The Tampa Bay Lightning (42-25-5) blew out the Utah Hockey Club (32-29-11) 8-0 on Thursday night to win their second straight game on this three-game homestand.

Nikita Kucherov had a goal and three assists, while Oliver Bjorkstrand and Jake Guentzel each scored twice for Tampa Bay. Andrei Vasilevskiy saved all 25 shots he faced on net to secure his sixth shutout of the season, which was his 40th career NHL shutout.

The Lightning wrap up their three game homestand when they host the New York Islanders on Saturday afternoon. Puck drop between the Lightning and Islanders is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday at Amalie Arena.
